Such a Busy Week!

We've had a busy week! Last Sunday, our nephew Kenny and his family came out to the campground to spend the afternoon with us. We had such a fun day! Kenny and Lisa have two boys, Trevor (7) and Aiden (3), who are just adorable. Kevin came out as well. The boys (all 4 of them) went in the pool while Randy, Lisa and I watched - it was way too cold for us! We cooked out and just enjoyed being together.

On Monday, Kelly and Kate came out to the park to spend the day with us. We haven't spent the day with them for a long time.
Once again, the pool was a main attraction. We also watched movies and fed the goats. They are such special little girls. We just love them.

Had a surprise midweek. My mom had to have a heart catheterization. She had been experiencing chest pains and shortness of breath, so the docs decided to check out the situation. So, my dad and I spent Thursday at Washington Hospital Center. Thankfully, my mom came through the procedure without complications. A small blockage was found, but a stent was inserted and we are praying this will ease some of the symptoms she's been experiencing. Just want to thank all of you who were praying for Mommy this week. You made a difference, I'm sure.

Well, that's it for now. Was sitting here watching TV and decided to share our exciting life with you! :) I hadn't had much to say (yeah, no smart comments!) lately, but figured you'd like to see some pictures. Hope all is well in your world. Take care of each other. Check in with us when you can.

It's August - Can You Believe It???

It's hard to believe it's August 1st! We've been home in Maryland for three months now and, looking back, the time has flown. At times we feel like we've been here forever 'cause we hadn't sat in one place this long; but mostly, the time is flying by as we spend as much time with our family as possible. September 18th, our leave date, is going to be here soon, so we need to make as much of the time here as we can.

We spent most of last week at my folks' in Ocean City. We hadn't been to their house since last October! I couldn't believe it when I realized that. We had a good time, just hanging out together and eating! Man, did we eat! And I discovered that the Shiver at TCBY is the best thing - ever! I justify eating it 'cause it's yogurt and 98% fat free. Yeah, then I put M&Ms in it - whatever! It's just good. I'm grateful that my folks are still around and healthy enough to enjoy life.

Spent yesterday with Lindsay & Reagan. Went to Gymboree with them again. It's so much fun watching Reagan as she dances and claps to the music and climbs on the equipment. She and Lindsay have a good time there. Then we just hung out at the house the rest of the day, had dinner, got to put Reagan to bed (I love that cuddling!), and watched a really bad movie. It was great being with the kids.

August looks to be a little less hectic. It's our last month working at the campground - our last weekend is Labor Day weekend. As of September 3rd, we are free agents!
It's hot, hot, HOT here in the East, as I see it is in the rest of the country. Hope everyone is keeping as cool as they can. The AC is running in our place, I'll tell you that!

We are beginning to set the itinerary for our next trip out. We'll leave here September 18 and travel for 2 months, getting back to MD on November 19 for Thanksgiving. Looking forward to tgoing to Maine; Kentucky; Branson, MO; Atlanta, GA; and other points south during that trip.

Take care of each other. If you know my sister and bro-in-law, Paula & Lou, be sure to say, "Happy Anniversary" to them today - it's their eighth!
