Randy & I went with Lindsay & Reagan to a very neat pet store today. Aside from the usual fish tanks, pet paraphernalia, pet food, etc., there are areas where you can touch different animals, plant life and sea life.
It is so much fun to see life through the eyes of an almost 3 year old! I know I say this all the time, but it continues to amaze me when I watch Reagan experience new things. Her joy and curiosity at seeing snakes, turtles, fish, gerbils, bunnies, birds, and other animals close up was so much fun to see.
Is she cute or what!
So curious about everything
There are a few rooms that allow people to touch or be close to the animals. At the Touch Tank, a shallow pool filled with fish and stingrays, you are encouraged to touch as they swim by. Reagan was interested in them, but not enough to touch! Another room has cages of gerbils, hamsters, and bunnies. Still another has birds flying around; cockatiels, canaries, finches, and more. There were several varieties of finches and they are beautiful birds.

This was a fun adventure. And it was free! Doesn't get any better than free, ya know. :)
We have less than a month left here. August has gone by much faster than July did. I kinda figured it would. We're trying to fit in as much as we can and seeing as many friends as possible. It seems like it's always this way as our departure date gets closer.
And a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our grandnephew, Jimmy, who turns 11 today. Here's the birthday boy with his mom, Lisa.
Tomorrow's laundry day. Not much else going on. Until the next time . . .
