It's Monday and even in this retirement life, getting started on a Monday seems to be hard to do. It shouldn't be that way since every day is Saturday for us (with the exception of Sunday), but I guess it's a mental thing. And I'm pretty mental! ;)
Anyway, today we had to begin our traveling chores with earnest. No more talking about it or thinking about it, it was time to get to it. Randy took the truck in to the shop for a front end alignment. Upon his return, he finished cleaning the skirt for the screen room. He had taken down the screen room last week and clean most of it, but the skirt still needed finishing. Later this week he'll be washing the RV.
I took down the pictures and got them ready to stow for travel. I also pulled in our garden window - I hate doing that 'cause it's awkward. I have to lean over the dining room table to pull it in and screw it tight. I also stowed the loose videos that have been sitting around and secured that cupboard. Then I filed several articles I had torn out of travel magazines. Oh, and i always washed dishes! That is a big deal 'cause that's Randy's job. But, I felt sorry for him because he had to work outside today, so I did them. Aren't I just the best wife!! :)
It's hard to believe that we've less than a week before we travel. I know, I know. I keep saying it, but it's true! We've got a couple of dinners this week with friends and the big RV show on Wednesday. But, my brain is beginning to fill with travel stuff. On one hand I am looking forward to our fall trip because we'll be seeing friends along the way as well as new destinations. And the blog will be MUCH more interesting!! On the other hand, it's going to be hard to leave family, as usual.
That's about it for today. Until the next time . . .
I just love ya! that is all:)Something at church made me think of you on sunday I realized how much I miss your laugh from up in the sound booth of the warehouse.
ReplyDeleteHave you not been to Connecticut yet? We'll have to do something about that. It's about the best state in the Union... so much to do! ROFL
