First of the Month Stuff

Not much to share today. We just had our first-of-the-month chores to do. First, though, I went to Curves; I need to get back to my 3x a week!

A little before 9am we headed out for the first stop - breakfast, of course! :) Once fortified, we went to the post office to mail a couple of packages. From there we headed into Pensacola to take care of our banking for the month.

I was in and out of the bank in less than 10 minutes! I think that's a record for the first of the month. We've found if we get there around 10:30 or so we miss the first rush. I've stood in line for 30 minutes before, so this was very nice.

Back in the truck, we headed back to Alabama to go to WalMart for our big grocery run. That took awhile. I hate it - by the time we're out of there my legs and feet ache so bad I want to scream. And it doesn't matter what shoes I wear; I've tried them all.

We got home about 1:30ish and had to unload and put away all those groceries. I also had to break up the large pack of chicken breasts into individual freezer portions. We'd also bought a rotisserie chicken which I take all the meat off the bones and put into individual packages, too. Finally, all that was done.

What was that noise??!?!?!!??? Oh, it was the patio - it was crying, "Come sit on me! I'm lonely!" So, of course I had to take a glass of iced tea and a book and go outside and sit in my lounge chair on the patio. Can't have the patio crying and bothering the neighborhood! :)

Oh, it felt SOOOOOOOOOO good to get off my feet and reclined in my lounge chair in 70 degree, sunny, breezy weather. Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh . . .

Dinner was leftover mac & cheese and tossed salad. Now, it's TV and computer time. Hope your week is off to a good start!

Until the next time . . .
