A Much Better Day

I'm glad to say that we had a much quieter night last night and lots of fun today. Actually, Lindsay and Reagan went to bed at 8pm last night and slept until 8:40 this morning! They sure caught up on much needed sleep. :)

The morning, what was left of it anyway, was spent up at the pool. Perfect pool weather - not too screaming hot, but warm enough that the water felt refreshing and you were comfortable when you got out of the pool to relax in a lounge chair. About 12:30 it was getting hot, so we packed it in and came back to the house.

Once we got cleaned up from the pool and had some lunch, it was time to find "something else fun to do" to quote Reagan. :) She really wanted to play miniature golf, but being the party pooper that I am, I so didn't want to do that in the hot afternoon sun! Grandma came to the rescue by telling us of an indoor mini-golf place in OC. YAY! So, after a stop at the bank, that's where we headed.

We had a blast! Took lots of pics, but I can't load them 'til I get home. Guess I'll have to post a picture entry to let you see all the fun we've had the past couple of days.

Tomorrow is our departure day. It's been fun to be here with Grandma and DadDad, but it's time to go home. I think we're stopping by one of Lins' friends on the way home. Angie just adopted a newborn and I haven't met Travis yet. Angie has been friends with Lindsay for almost 20 years, so it will be wonderful to see her in mommy-mode.

One more thing - Kev called today to let us know he has received his orders for deployment. He'll be leaving this weekend for a year in Iraq. Randy & I covet your prayers for his safety as well as his unit's while he is gone. Please remember our daughter-in-law, Sara, as well. I think the families of our military personnel are heroes, too! We take comfort in knowing that God is in control and He is watching over Kevin. The next year will be a tough one, but we'll get through it.

Until the next time . . .
