That's right. I'm tired of getting a taste of Spring for the weather to change in an instant! This morning we woke to a mid-40s temperature and sunshine. I went to Curves and when I got home, Randy and I went back out the door to do our first-of-the-month errands.
The sun was bright and it seemed it was going to be a nice day. We stopped at a new place for breakfast, Auntie Bo's Restaurant. We've passed this restaurant on our way to Pensacola every month and keep saying we need to stop. So, today we did! We had a good breakfast and the cost was very reasonable. That's the kind of combination we like! :)
Next stop was the bank. I got in and out in less than 10 minutes. Not bad for the first of the month. There are times I've stood in line for much longer than that. But, I think we've figured out the best way to do it - don't get to the bank when it opens! Everyone who gets a check on the first of the month shows up to the bank before the doors open. We've learned to get there around 10am or so. No line then!
With our monthly cash in hand, it was on to WalMart for our big grocery order. We also had to pick up some printer ink and a gift card for our grandson whose 11th birthday is next week. A couple of hours later, we were on our way home.
Again, the sun was shining, the sky was blue. Great, right?
Well, we'd been home just an hour or so and the weather turned on us! The sky started to get gray and the air was cooling rapidly. Ugh. By the time I left for Bible study around 5pm, it was sprinkling.
Around 5:45 there was thunder and lightning and the rain was POURING. Now? Right now? The rain is still pouring and the wind is rockin' the RV like a Garth Brooks concert! And we've lost the satellite once already.
Let me make this clear: I AM READY FOR SPRING!!!!!!!!!! Okay, I feel better now.
Until the next time . . .
YOU'RE READY FOR SPRING!?!?! Come North and then you can complain. Just kidding of course. I am glad you got all your errands done in the nice weather at least. Enjoy the rest of the week! Kind of sinks when the first of the month is on a Monday to boot, huh?
