. . . and that means music. Thursdays are fun 'cause Randy and Dick go with us to Jubilee Pickers. I really enjoy Randy being there with me. It's great to share this music and these folks with him.
Typically, many of us go out to lunch together to the local Chinese buffet. However, there was a gig at an assisted living facility that several people were going to, so Dick & Pat and Randy & I went out to lunch on our own. Dick loves gumbo and he hadn't had it at his favorite restaurant yet, so we headed into downtown Fairhope to have lunch at Old Bay Steamer.
Lunch was pretty good, although the service was a bit slow. Unfortunately, Dick was a little disappointed in his gumbo; he said that it wasn't the same recipe as he'd had in the past. It wasn't bad, it was as good as before.
From there, we took a scenic drive home. There are so many side streets throughout Fairhope and it's always fun to drive along looking at the quaint houses and bungalows.
The rest of the day has been spent as usual, when we're home: TV and computer. We are an exciting couple, huh? :)
Tomorrow Pat & I have a gig with JamNFolks in Orange Beach. The guys are going along to watch the performance and go to lunch. :) Pat says there's a good restaurant she wants to go to - Calypso Joe's. I'll let you know what we think!
Until the next time . . .
