We've Been Busy!

We have had little downtime since we got back home! Between working three days a week (and boy, has THAT been hard to get used to again!) and spending time with family, we've hardly spent any time at home.

Last Monday I went to Gymboree with Lindsay and Reagan. I had never even
heard of Gymboree until Lins told me about it. It was so much fun watching Reagan enjoy all of the exercises the class does. There were several other children in the class and Reagan gets almost as excited watching the other kids as she does doing the exercises. I got lots of pictures and had so much fun!

After Gymboree class was over, Lindsay, Reagan and I went down to visit my folks at the beach. Jason was going out of town on business and Lins didn't want to hang out at home all by herself all week. Turns out, Jason was going to be in Ocean City, too, but would be busy with work. So, we left Randy at home housesitting and dogsitting and us three girls set off for the beach and Grandma's house.

I had not seen my folks for almost five months. It was great to see them and get
hugs and kisses. They look great. We didn't have much of an agenda, just wanted to spend time with Grandma and DadDad. I really love watching my folks with my granddaughter - it's an amazing sight.

Of course, we had to hit the outlets and see what we could buy for Reaga
n. Not that she needs much of anything! We also went to the beach and walked the boardwalk one day. It was a windy day, so we didn't stay too long. Got some good pictures, though.

Thursday morning it was time to head for home. I was missing Randy and hoping he was missing me (he said he did and I choose to believe him!). I had to get home to get to work that evening.

It was a fun time together. I so enjoy spending time with Lindsay. We have a good time together. Sometimes we laugh so hard, the tears roll down our faces.

We are settling into some kind of a routine. We work at the campground Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We usually spend at least a couple of days down at Lindsay's. We keep in touch with Kevin and Ginny, but it's harder to catch up with them. Ginny and family are coming out to the campground in a couple of weeks, so we're really looking forward to that.

Take care, everyone! Keep in touch.

Happy Mother's Day!!

I hope all of the moms who read this have had a wonderful Mother's Day celebrating with their families. We spent last evening at my sister and brother-in-law's. It was great - all of our kids were there, except Joe & Ginny. We hadn't been together since Christmas.

Please take the time to enjoy one another. It's the best thing you can do for each other.

Enjoying family & getting back to work

We have been spending time with the kids. Have spent lots of hours with Reagan and getting to know who she is. And who she is, is wonderful! She is such a happy little girl and Lindsay is a great mom. Watching Lindsay & Jason parent Reagan is so much fun. Kevin & Mandy are doing well, so we are grateful for that. And we still need to get down to see Chuck, Ginny & Tommy; our schedules seem to be opposite one another - but, we'll get there!

Another adjustment is getting back to the work routine! No more just hanging around the RV, reading, figuring out what to do with the day - we know! Three days a week (yeah, tough gig, huh?) we work at the campground. I'm kinda glad to have a routine, I like that. But, I had forgotten how bad my back and legs ache after standing for six or seven hours on that concrete floor! UGH! I'm sure it'll get better. It is fun working with the folks we worked with last year. AND, it's great to get our site fee paid for!

I am looking forward to this weekend. We're going to my sister's for a cookout on Saturday to celebrate Mother's Day and my birthday. Then, of course, Sunday is Mother's Day.

And on that note, I wish all of you great moms out there a wonderful, celebration-filled Mother's Day. Enjoy the day and celebrate who you are!

Love to all. Keep in touch.

What We've Been Up To . . .

As you can imagine, one of the first things we wanted to do after getting home is seeing the kids. So, Monday morning, after going to the Subaru dealership to co-sign for Kevin's new car, we were off to see Reagan. OOPS! I mean, Lindsay and Reagan!

Oh, my. I was not prepared for the overwhelming emotion that flooded me when we walked in the house and saw Reagan for the first time in four months. Lindsay met us at the door holding Reagan and it was a picture that I will hold in my heart for a very long time. They both looked just beautiful. And, to my great delight, Reagan looked at her Pop and Nana, and a huge grin appeared on her face. Lins had done a wonderful job of preparing the little girl for our arrival.

Of course, the rest of the day was spent with Reagan in my arms; me on the floor playing with Reagan; feeding Reagan her bottles and her dinner; putting Reagan down for her nap - I think you get the idea. Poor Randy wasn't given a lot of time to get close to Reagan. I was a bit of a Reagan-hog.

Later in the day, around dinnertime, Kevin and Mandy came in. Again, emotion overcame me as I put my arms around Kevin for the first time in months. He has come such a long way these last few months and we are so proud of him. It was great to just hug him. He and Mandy had just come from the dealership, so we all had to go out and ooooh and aaaah over the new car. (It really is a great car.)

Now we need to get down and see Chuck, Ginny & Tommy. I'm sure Tommy has grown so much we may not recognize him! We also have to get to Kelly & Kate's house.

So much catching up to do. It's great to be home.

We are home!!!

We are home in Maryland! We thought we'd get home today, but decided to push on and get home on Sunday afternoon instead. I am so glad we did, 'cause that means I got to get down to that beautiful granddaughter even sooner than expected. And she is just GORGEOUS!!!! I just can't keep my hands off of her.

We got a great reception at Ramblin' Pines - it's nice to be missed. Our friends, Don & Joyce greeted us and brought us cake! We just love Joyce's cooking!

We start working this Thursday and have almost the same scheduled as last year. We work Thursday afternoons from 3 to 9pm and Friday & Saturday from 8am to 3pm. Not a bad deal, huh? Leaves plenty of play time with the kids and family.

I'll continue posting to the blog as the summer goes on. Probably won't be as often because life will be a bit more boring than these past few months, but as you all know, I always find something to say!

Keep checking back and please keep in touch.
