Today is our 26th wedding anniversary!
Dang, it sure doesn't seem like 26 years. Seems like only yesterday Lindsay came up to me and said, “RandyDad wants to know if you'll marry him.” And then she handed me a beautiful emerald engagement ring!
We have had a fabulous ride on this marriage roller coaster. Sure, there have been some rough curves thrown at us, but because we had determined from the beginning to meet each one holding on it each other, we've weathered them and come out on the other side stronger than before.
Since Randy and I had both been married before, we knew the odds were against us making this marriage a success. However, we talked long and hard about what we had done wrong in our first marriages and how we wanted to avoid repeating those errors. And I give Randy so much of the credit of our success – his easygoing, patient attitude sure made life much easier than it could have been.
And we both know that it is because we placed God first in our marriage that it has been successful. God brought us together and we are forever grateful to Him for that. He is the glue in this marriage.
And even after having been full-time RVing for seven and a half years, I can honestly say our relationship is as strong or stronger than ever. That's a major accomplishment right there – 'cause living 24/7 in 450 square feet isn't always easy!! :)
So, happy anniversary to us! Looking forward to more years of adventure!
Congratulations!
