Well, I lied. I decided to write one more blog post before the end of 2011. Just couldn't resist. ;)
We're ending the year quietly. Not being folks that are wild party animals, we opted to gather at Darrell & Judy's for food and fun. Jim & Ellie joined us, too. All six of us had planned to attend the New Year's Eve party at the clubhouse, but then Darrell & Judy invited us for dinner. No brainer there – we all knew we would enjoy ourselves even more just hanging out together. So, we did.
Judy made a great dinner of lasagne and tossed salad. Ellie brought delicious garlic bread. Yeah, I know; I'm a loser, I didn't bring anything. Wait! I brought my sense of humor!! Oh, and I brought Randy, too. Does that count?
As expected, we had a great time. Lots of laughter, as you can imagine.
Sorry, I didn’t get a picture of Jim.
All too soon, it was creeping up on 9pm and we were losing Jim. :) We were lucky; he stayed up waaaayyyy past his bedtime to party with us. Randy & I stayed late, until 10pm!!
Of course, in the Rver's world, 9pm is midnight! At least, that's what they tell us.
So, we're home and as I write this, it's 10:37pm Central time. We're gonna be able to watch the ball drop in Times Square at 11pm. Then, we can get to sleep! :) Isn't that great?
Tomorrow is moving day. We're off to our new adventure, workamping at Florida Springs RV in Bonifay, Florida. Looking forward to making new friends and having fun.
Happy New Year!
I like the comment about 9 pm being midnight. We are in California and celebrated New year at a retirement facility. We did the New Year thing at 9 pm when the ball dropped in New York! Then everyone went to bed.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!
