The Weekend

We had a relatively quiet weekend.

Yesterday we enjoyed hanging out at home until dinner time when we went up to Barry & Penny's site for a cookout. We spent a couple of hours with them, sitting out on their patio. That was about all I could stand of the “great outdoors.” :) It was just too dang humid for me. And the bugs were beginning to enjoy me a bit too much. Give me a screened-in porch any day, if I gotta be outside during the summer!

Today we went to church. Heard another great message, one that I again needed to hear. God definitely has my attention. :)

From church Randy & I went grocery shopping. Not my favorite thing to do, but since I do like to eat, it's a necessity. We got out of there without emptying the bank account, which is a feat in itself.

Once we were home, we unloaded the groceries, put them in their places and changed into our comfy clothes. Then, it was into our recliners where we've been ever since.

Like I said – a quiet weekend.

Tomorrow I've got a follow-up eye exam and then we're picking up Reagan for a sleepover. That should end the quiet around here! :)

Until the next time . . .

  2. Isn't it amazing how a little whirling derbish can disturb the quiet. But it's a good kinda disturbance when it's your grand daughter. Grnad kids just put a lot of fun into disturbing the peace. By the way, does Reagan's grandmother make her those nice huge molasses cookies that my grandmother used to make us?

    1. I don't know if Reagan's grandmother makes those cookies for her. I'll have to ask her 'cause Reagan's Nana sure doesn't!! :)
