The Furnace - Take Two

Yes, the furnace stopped working sometime during the night. And yes, we were NOT happy to say the least. When I got up at 7am, it was 59 degrees in the rig. Not exactly warm . . .

The furnace was doing exactly what it had been doing last week, or maybe I should say, not doing. It was not firing. It would come on, but the burner wouldn't fire, so it was only blowing cold when it would come on.

I called the park office to see if they could recommend an RV technician. They did and we called. Thankfully, we were able to get on their schedule for this afternoon.

Dan, the RV tech, was a great guy. He spent little more than an hour here, but determined the burner part of the furnace was faulty. He replaced that and the furnace worked fine. Now, it just needs to work when it gets cold tonight! Dan also said that given the symptoms we had - that the furnace was misfiring, he also would have suspected the circuit board as Rick, the RV guy in AZ, did. So, that was comforting to know that Rick did the right thing.

Hopefully, we'll have no more problems with the furnace. I gotta say we've been very fortunate to get both RV guys to come right away and to work on our RV right away.

Didn't do much else today. We went to breakfast, stopped at WalMart for a few things, and I did a couple of loads of towels. That was it. Tomorrow we're going exploring!

Until the next time . . .
