Another Month Over

We had a good weekend, beginning with Reagan's sleepover on Friday which was great. Then, we met Jason & Lindsay for breakfast Saturday morning. We wouldn't be seeing them the rest of the weekend because Lindsay's dad and stepmom were coming for the rest of the weekend.

So, our weekend was relatively quiet. We spent Saturday catching up with our neighbors and then watching several of the shows we'd DVR'd during the week we were with my folks. Very lazy.

Sunday morning we were to cheer our friend, Cheri, on while she participated in her first triathalon. Well, it didn't quite work out that way. Cheri had given us her start time and we thought we'd get to the finish line about a half hour before she got there. We missed her!! UGH! I was so upset I thought I'd cry! She was quicker on her bike time than she thought and we missed her finish by about 10 minutes or less. I couldn't believe it. But, we did get to celebrate her accomplishment by going to lunch together. I was so proud of her - she had never done anything remotely like this before and she trained hard for six months. She is amazing!

I ended the weekend with a cold. Yuck. How do you NOT have a cold in the afternoon and then in the evening you're all stopped up? Can anyone tell me?

Today we went to Reagan's swim lesson. She loves the water, but does not like to put her face in it. The teacher is a little too aggressive with this; she insists on taking Reagan under when she is not ready. Lins finally told the teacher today that she is not happy with that - she doesn't want Reagan to hate the water. Other than that, Reagan is doing really well.

Working hard
Very proud of herself

We stayed for a bit afterward, eating lunch at the pool. I love watching Reagan enjoy life. She is such a happy little girl and just giggles at everything. I am so glad to be here!!! We left shortly after noon; I was wiped out by then.

The rest of the day has been spent in my recliner. I did some cross stitching, but not much else. Oh, I also made dinner - Chicken, Ham & Rice Casserole. So, I guess I wasn't as lazy as I thought.

Now that we are sitting still for a few months, I won't be posting every day. There just isn't enough to share to keep you interested! :) But, be sure to check back once in a while 'cause I'll probably post a couple of times a week. I so appreciate everyone who reads the blog.

Until the next time . . .
