And the Hits Just Keep on Comin'

Yesterday found me back at WalMart! I have NEVER gone to WalMart this often in the six years we've been on the road. It amazes me that having just one more person in the house can make such a difference in how fast we go through groceries.

So, after a workout at Curves, I went to WalMart to pick up a few things. On the way out, Kev texted me asking me to pick him up to go to lunch. See, he's not using his truck until it gets fixed, so either he drives the truck to work or one of us takes him. Not a problem.

Kev got his lunch and I took him back to work and then I went home. About 4pm, got a text that it was time to pick him up. We ran a couple errands and came home so Kev & Randy could take the truck to the shop.

Well, wouldn't you know it? Kevin's truck wouldn't start – even with Randy using our truck to jump start it, it wouldn't turn over. Great. So, a call was made to a tow company and a few pennies (yeah, right!) later, the truck was on its way to the shop.

Today Randy finds a leak in the basement of the RV. YAY! Another something to deal with. He has valiantly tried to fix it, but nothing. Finally, he realized that the elbow connection has a hole in it. Really? How often does that happen? Anyway, at least we know what needs to be done. Just need to find the right part and get it done.

Also, my dad is in the hospital because he has been experiencing severe shortness of breath, to the point that just walking across the room is tough for him. It seems Daddy's been in atrial fibulation almost since his heart surgery back in May. Tomorrow he'll be having ablation which is some procedure that should put his heart into a good pace. We'll see.

Life has been a little exciting for us lately. Not exactly fun, but you know? There are many worse scenarios we could be facing. So, we just keep trusting God, knowing that He's got a plan.

Until the next time . . .

I was amazed at how much less food we went through after my oldest moved out, lol. Saying a prayer for your Dad!

  4. Having our oldest son still living with us I can attest that he eats as much as my wife and I combined, Oh well I guess when I was in my 20's I was the same way except, Uncle Sam was feeding me. Hope your Dad has a successful procedure we will send our prayers for him, Glad Kevin is coming along fine. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
