Dinner with Friends

Today started out as a nasty, rainy day. Just as I was leaving Curves, the sky was almost as dark as night and the rain poured. And it continued throughout the morning and early afternoon. About 1:30 the sun came and it became a fairly nice day.

Even in the rain Randy worked on getting some things ready for travel. He had to grease the hitch and prep it for putting it back in the truck. He takes it out when we are sitting for any length of time. Plus he was putting things back into the storage area, which isn't an easy task!

Tomorrow's supposed to be gorgeous - sunny and mid 70s. That's what I'm talking about! Perfect weather. The kind of weather I would love to have year 'round. ;) Just right for walking around an RV show!

This evening we met David & Beth for dinner at Carabba's. We went to church together when we lived in MD. Beth and I worked together at the church for awhile. We really enjoy our times with them. The evening is always full of laughter and good conversation, just as it should be with good friends. When we are in this area, we always try to see them at least a couple of times. Thanks, David & Beth, for another great evening, but even more for your friendship. We love you!!

Really looking forward to the RV show tomorrow. It is so much fun seeing the new rigs as well as all the vendors who set up shop during the show. PLUS!! We get to see Darrell & Judy for the first time in SIX months! Can't wait for that. Should be a great day.

Just wanted to share a picture of a special young man, Private Lee (Marty) Fortenberry. Marty has just finished his Basic Training and is beginning his Advanced Training in the U.S. Army. He is the son of our close friends, Lee & Cheri. We are so proud of Marty and his desire to serve our country. If you think of him and our son, Kevin, please say a prayer for their service as well as that of all of our armed forces.

Hope you're having a good week. Until the next time . . .
