Today we attended a memorial service for Jason's paternal grandfather. We did not know him, but we do know Jason's dad and wanted to show our support for both Jason and his dad. It was attended by family, mostly, with a couple of friends there as well.
Being at this service reinforced my heartfelt belief that we must tell our families how we feel about them. Even if we're mad at someone in our family, we need to talk about it, get it out and get over it. Family is just too darn important to let slip away.
So, take a moment to tell the members of your family that you love them, are mad at them, or whatever it is you want to say. Just be sure to work it out and keep talking to each other. Hopefully, at the end of all that talk, there will be hugs all around.
Until the next time . . .
