The Festivities Continue . . .

Ahhhh . . . Monday morning. That means Curves for me, right? Well, not this morning. Ugh. I woke up to rain and another headache. Most days when I wake up with a headache, I make myself go to Curves anyway 'cause I know the exercise will ease the pain. However, this morning I just couldn't do it. So, I sat in the recliner, drank my two cups of coffee and read the blogs and caught up on Facebook. Yeah, I'm a nudge.

Anyway, once the caffeine got in my system, I felt a bit better. By then, it was time to get ready for the day. Today was the park's Mardi Gras parade! It's always great to see how folks decorate their golf carts, bicycles, cars, and themselves! The park Red Hatters always have a float and our neighborhood firefighters join in the fun as well.

The Color Guard led the parade
Some of the bicycles

Fire trucks
After the parade we had a good lunch of pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw and dessert. Then it was time for the entertainment. Today there was a sci fi skit, The Chenilles, and music from the Wednesday afternoon jam group. Unfortunately, the skit didn't lend itself to pictures and y'all have seen The Chenilles. Randy did get a couple of pictures of the dulcimer group. We played four songs, one of which was a Caribbean-feel "Sloop John B" complete with a steel drum and dreads! :)

You know, the fun is goofy and corny, but it's FUN. We had a great time. Too bad it all ends tomorrow. :)

Until the next time . . .
