Neighborhood Block Party

We had a great day today! The sun was shining, and while it was a bit breezy, there was a beautiful blue sky and temps in the 60s. Love it.

The day started with church, of course. We had the pleasure of having Mark & Dortha join us for worship. That was great; the drive to and from gave us a chance to get to know each other a bit better. We'll all be going out for dinner on Wednesday, so I'm looking forward to their company once more.

This afternoon we held a block party. There were about 35 of us in attendance. It was a perfect day for it. Several of the guys smoked and fried a couple of turkeys and the rest of us brought a dish to share. Picnic tables were set up and a campfire was set. The food was good and the company even better. We started about 2:30 and came home about 5:30, after sitting around the fire for a while after dinner. A good time was had by all.
