Getting Back to Reality

Just didn't feel like posting last night when we got home. So, I'll give a “two-fer” tonight. :)

After a very long, but gratefully uneventful, drive, we arrived home about 8:30pm. Gosh, we were both so glad to see our RV. :) Randy got in first and was back out immediately and was getting our extra tank of propane out of the back of the truck. Seems both propane tanks were dead and it was a balmy 47* degrees INSIDE the RV!! Ugh. Welcome home.

First thing I did was turn on the electric heater. It took about a half hour to get the propane lines and tank warmed up enough to kick the furnace on. I kept warm by unpacking.

Just one of the adventures of full-time RV life. :)

Woke up to a dreary, rainy day this morning. We took our time getting ourselves out the door. We needed to run a few errands; first-of-the-month banking, getting those propane tanks filled; as well as a trip to Curves for me.

This afternoon we met cyber RV friends, Gene & Judi. We have several mutual friends and have been following each other's blogs but haven't had the pleasure of meeting until today. They are staying here at Hardeeville RV Park, too.

Gene & Judi graciously invited us over for coffee this afternoon. As it often happens with RVers, we felt immediately at home with one another and began chatting. Suddenly, it was two hours later! Isn't it wonderful to be able to feel comfortable with folks so quickly? One of the best things about this lifestyle – no strangers. ;) As we left we made plans to get together one more time before Randy & I leave on Sunday.

Tomorrow's our big monthly grocery shopping day. One of my least favorite things to do. But, I do like to eat, so I'll suffer through. :)
